Privacy at a glance: Remains does not collect personal data, require an account, display advertising, track you, or use analytics. App preferences stay on your device. Device motion is processed temporarily on your device, and subscriptions are handled by Apple.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Remains (the "App") handles information when you use the App and its widget on Apple devices. It applies only to Remains and does not replace the privacy terms of Apple or any service that Apple operates.

2. Information We Collect

The developer of Remains does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or share personal data through the App. In particular, the App:

• does not require account registration or sign-in;
• does not include advertising or advertising identifiers;
• does not use analytics, profiling, or cross-app tracking;
• does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data, or files; and
• does not upload your App preferences or device motion data to a developer-operated server.

3. Device Motion

When motion effects are available, Remains may access device orientation and gravity information through Apple's Core Motion framework. This information is used only in real time to render the reflective visual effect of the metal ring. Motion information is processed locally, is not retained by the App, and is not transmitted to the developer or third parties.

4. Local Storage and Widget

Remains stores settings such as your selected watch face, language, sound preference, text display duration, and widget configuration locally on your device. The App and its widget may share these preferences through an Apple App Group container so that your selected appearance and settings remain consistent.

These preferences are not sent to the developer. You can remove them by deleting the App, subject to Apple's device and backup behavior. iOS or the App may also create local technical or diagnostic logs. Remains does not transmit those logs to the developer.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

Optional subscriptions and related purchase restoration are provided through Apple's StoreKit and the App Store. Apple processes your Apple Account, payment method, purchase, tax, and transaction information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Remains does not receive your full payment details. The App only receives the purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock subscribed features and restore purchases.

6. Third-Party Services

Remains does not integrate third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs. Apple system services, including the App Store, StoreKit, iOS, iCloud Backup if enabled on your device, and crash or diagnostic services controlled by your Apple settings, may process information independently. Their handling of information is governed by Apple's privacy policies and your device settings.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because the developer does not collect personal data through Remains, the developer has no App user profile or personal dataset to retain or delete. Local preferences remain on your device until changed, removed by the operating system, or deleted with the App. Purchase records retained by Apple are managed according to Apple's policies and your Apple Account settings.

8. Security

Remains minimizes privacy risk by avoiding developer-operated collection and keeping App settings and motion processing on your device. No method of electronic storage or platform operation can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but the App uses Apple's platform protections and limits information handling to what is needed for its features.

9. Children's Privacy

Remains does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. The App does not provide accounts, social features, targeted advertising, or behavioral tracking.

10. International Processing

The developer does not transfer App user data internationally because the App does not send personal data to the developer. Apple may process purchase, account, backup, or diagnostic information in locations described in Apple's privacy documentation.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the App's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel when required by law.
