Please read this policy carefully before using the service. Body metrics, dietary records and food photographs may reflect your health status and are treated as sensitive personal information. We will process such information only to the extent necessary to provide the corresponding features.
1. How we collect and use information
1.1 Account and sign-in information
When you choose to sign in with WeChat or Google, we receive the account identifier provided by that sign-in platform, together with the public profile you authorise it to share, such as your nickname, avatar and email address. We use this information to create your account, identify you, sync your data and keep your account secure. We never obtain your WeChat or Google password.
1.2 Body metrics and health management information
When you use the calorie estimation and body data features, we process the information you enter, such as your height, current weight, target weight and record dates, in order to display your body data, calculate your basal calorie expenditure and provide personalised records. The results are intended as a reference for everyday health management only and do not constitute medical diagnosis or treatment advice.
1.3 Diet, exercise and record information
We process the food names, portion sizes, calories, nutritional information, meal records, exercise types, calories burned and dates that you enter or confirm, in order to generate daily summaries, historical records and related analyses.
1.4 Food photographs and image recognition information
When you use the photo recognition, image upload or food segmentation features, we process the images you select or capture, and we may send the images together with the necessary recognition instructions to artificial intelligence service providers for analysis, so that food items can be identified and portion sizes and nutritional information can be estimated. Please do not upload identity documents, bank cards, clearly identifiable faces of other people, or any other sensitive content unrelated to food recognition.
1.5 Service operation and security information
To keep the service stable and to troubleshoot faults, our servers may automatically record the request time, access address, browser or device type, API status, error logs and security event information. We use this information for operation and maintenance, to prevent abuse and to safeguard network and data security. We do not use it for profiling or advertising unrelated to you.
1.6 Processing rules
We process personal information only for the specific purposes described above. If the purposes, methods or categories of information change materially, we will notify you again as required by law and obtain your separate consent where necessary. You may decline to provide information that is not essential, although some features that depend on that information may then be unavailable.
2. Device permissions and local storage
The camera and photo selection features may request access to your camera and photo library. We use them only after you actively trigger the relevant feature and grant permission. You can withdraw permission in your device or browser settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of your earlier consent, but the corresponding features may become unavailable.
The website uses browser local storage to keep your sign-in state, client identifier, cached body data and interface settings, so that your session persists and your experience improves. You can clear this data through your browser settings; after clearing it you may need to sign in again or reconfigure the relevant information.
4. Storage and protection of information
4.1 Storage location and retention period
As a general rule, we store business data within the territory of the People's Republic of China. Third-party sign-in and artificial intelligence services may be provided by overseas service providers; where this involves cross-border transfer of personal information, we will comply with applicable law by providing notice, obtaining separate consent and fulfilling other compliance obligations. We retain information for the shortest period necessary for the purposes of the service, unless the law requires otherwise. Once that period expires, we will delete or anonymise the information.
4.2 Security measures
We protect information through measures such as HTTPS encrypted transmission, access control, authentication, log auditing, data isolation and necessary backups. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a security incident occurs that may affect your rights, we will take remedial measures as required by law and will inform you of the circumstances, the possible impact and the recommended response through appropriate channels.
5. Your personal information rights
Within the scope permitted by applicable law, you have the right to access, copy, correct, supplement or delete your personal information, to withdraw your consent, to close your account, or to ask us to explain our processing rules. Some information can be edited directly in the app; other requests can be submitted through the email address at the end of this policy.
To keep your account secure, we may need to verify your identity. We will normally respond within 15 business days. Where the law requires it, where it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, or where it is necessary to safeguard the public interest, we may be unable to delete the relevant information immediately; during that period we will cease all processing other than storage and security protection.
6. Protection of minors
This service is primarily intended for adults. Children under 14 years of age should use the service with the consent and guidance of a parent or other guardian, who should read and agree to this policy on their behalf. If we discover that we have collected a child's personal information without verifiable guardian consent, we will delete it or take other appropriate measures as soon as possible in accordance with the law.
7. Policy updates
We may update this policy in response to feature changes or legal requirements. If a material change occurs, we will inform you through a page notice, an in-app notification or another prominent method, and we will obtain your consent again where the law requires it. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
